They say that the league table starts to take shape after ten games or so, but luckily the FSM Superliga isn't your average league. So cutting edge is this division, that we already have a clear picture of what's happening only four games in...
Ahem... now that I've suitably distracted you from the fact that this update is a little later than planned, we can get down to the business of analysing the key talking points from the opening month.
Manager: Daniel Dollin
Gameweek Points: 36
Overall Points: 256
Not the best of weeks for Daniel, but it was still enough for him to hold off the chasing pack, as TakingTheMkhitaryan continue to... take the mick. Daniel's team has led from the get go, with gameweek totals of 99 and 77 in the first two weeks meaning the rest of us have instantly been playing catch up. The success of the team is in no small part down to the United trio of Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Romelu Lukaku who look unstoppable on current form, whilst the likes of Roberto Firmino and Dele Alli have also played their role. Well done Daniel, can you make it five weeks at number one?
PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK
Manager: Gregg Potts
Gameweek Points: 73
Overall Points: 232
A sneaky bench boost was enough for Gregg's 20 Times to top score in gameweek 4, with an impressive total of 73 points. Even a red card for Sadio Mane could not sour things, as defenders Kiko Femenia and Ben Davies both put in outstanding performances, notching up clean sheets and assists along the way. In attack, Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku both found the net again and would be wise selections if your team is struggling for goals. Whilst this issue is likely to give me sleepless nights, it is not something Gregg will have to worry about any time soon. If he can repeat this week's performance another 19 times, it should ensure he is right in the mix come the end of the season.
