Brasileirão's special tribute to Chapecoense in the ending week of 2016 season

All Brazilian Serie A clubs will pay tribute to Chapecoense in the final week of the Brazilian Serie A season. The idea started from a Whatsapp group, created at the beginning of 2015, consists all marketing managers of the major clubs in the country, to show the willingness to make something happen together, and clubs are united to pay tribute with a wider impact.

An excerpt from Chapecoense's anthem says: "O glorious green that expands. Among the states, you are always a splendour. In the joys and at the most difficult times. My hurricane, you are always a winner."

(“Ó glorioso verde que se expande. Entre os estados, tu és sempre um esplendor. Nas alegrias e nas horas mais difíceis. Meu furacão, tu és sempre um vencedor.”)

All clubs will ‘sing’ on their shirts in the final week of this season. Each of the 19 clubs, including Atlético Mineiro that will not be on the pitch, will use a stretch forming this part of Chape's anthem. The order was alphabetised, and Vitória, which comes last in the list, enters the field with #ForçaChape, which is the universal phrase of all the tributes.

As it is the final match of Serie A this year, all Serie A clubs have this joint action to show their support as a simple way to pay tribute to Chapecoense and the entire community of Chapecó.

The off-field union of all Serie A clubs was fundamental to this initiative, which comprises the idea tha developed by Bernardo Pontes at Corinthians and other representatives of Serie A Clubs.

All clubs will make a special box with a shirt from each of them forming the whole stretch and auctioning off in an attempt to help the rebuilding of Chapecoense. This action will take place on Sunday this weekend at 5pm local time with all games.
